9/23/2023 0 Comments Pubg vs fortniteStill, there’s some pretty fine distinctions between each game. It’s still technically in BETA, much like PUBG on console, which took a great deal longer to create than that of its counterpart. Impressively, Fortnite: BR was crafted in just two months time using assets from their Fortnite: StW build. One hundred players are thrown onto an ever-shrinking large map and are tasked with killing anything that moves until one player is left standing. Moving back to the titular question, both of these games are fundamentally sharing the same core concept though it’s a concept that predates both games. PUGB Corp suing Fortnite creator Epic Games in South Korea for copyright violation is a “thing”, if you ask me, I think it’s a freakin stupid movement that needs knocking on the head now. Depending on what you’re looking for in your Battle Royale experience, will determine which of the two is better. Both of them are great games in their own way, each with a unique spin on the Battle Royale formula. The answer is it’s completely subjective. But maybe that won't hinder you after all when you're swimming in Chicken Dinners.Let’s get the answer out of the way straight off the bat. You may be a fan of PUBG, but you're simply getting more value for your money out of Fortnite. At the end of the day, you're spending a lot less on the pass to get more out of it. With Battle Passes, you instead buy a seasonal ticket, and then work towards certain milestones that unlock rewards from that ticket. Despite paying for PUBG, the only way for you to earn aesthetic upgrades without spending more money is grinding out loot boxes, which themselves work on a luck system. On a pure consumer level, the Battle Pass system is just better than PUBG's loot boxes. Over time, they've even introduced a bunch of lore to the game in the form of interactive one-time events. More importantly, the game has a new weapon, vehicle, or feature, out at least once a month, keeping things fresh and shifting. They're constantly releasing new content in the form of purchasable skins and the like for mini-events. On the other hand, the development pace at Fortnite is blazingly fast. They also come out with seasonal goodies fairly regularly. PUBG has traditionally taken a few months to introduce a single new map, testing the areas for glitches and the like. This can of course lead to PC players getting an edge over their console opponents, however it more importantly lets friends join sessions together no matter the platform they have available. The same isn't so for Fortnite, which lets players across any platform game together. On the other hand, in the PUBG main game, PC and Xbox players are separated. PUBG Mobile players get to enjoy cross-platform play between iOS and Android, which helps keep concurrent player numbers up. Additionally, it's been proven to be far easier to cheat in PUBG with game-breaking mods, something the developer is still working on trying to eliminate. It's to be expected, considering both it and Fortnite are made on the Unreal Engine, but Fortnite's developer made that engine. Bugs/cheatersĭespite a number of fixes recently PUBG still has its share of bugs in the game, unlike its competitor. Still it's all the difference in the world when the other option is 100 percent free. PUBG on the other hand is available for about Rs 1,000 a copy, less now that it's been out a while. That means there's a big draw for young kids and cash-strapped students it's exactly how they managed to turn a $3 billion profit this year without game sales. Free-to-playįirst and foremost, Fortnite's battle royale mode has been free-to-play from the day it launched. Which game is better to play may depend on your personal preference, but there are a few universal qualities that give us a clear winner. Fortnite however instead takes a relaxing game like Minecraft and adds its existing building options to a fast-paced multiplayer shooter. PUBG veers towards the more realistic side of survival shooters. Now the two each have their own pros and cons, as far as the actual gameplay is concerned. Luckily, there are a few clear reasons why one is better than the other. Since then, fanboys have been at each other's throats to establish the dominance of their favourite. First there came PUBG, with its introduction to battle royales, and then came Fortnite with its fierce rivalry.
